IMPORTANT NEWS RELEASE

Monday September 24 2018

The CUPW National Executive Board (NEB) has decided not to file a 72-hour strike notice for now. The NEB has decided to give Canada Post an opportunity to finally address our demands. We are still determined to achieve the collective agreements that you deserve.

Be Prepared

In negotiations, things can change quickly, so you all must be prepared for the possibility that the NEB may have to issue a 72-hour strike notice if negotiations do not progress.

What Next?

Currently, the ball is in Canada Post’s court. We presented them with global offers on September 14 and it is up to them to respond. Time will tell if Canada Post will take our demands seriously, but we must all be ready for whatever happens.

Communications

As we enter into what may be a crucial time in this round of negotiations, it is more important than ever to stay informed. Watch your bulletin boards, email and sign up for CUPW’s e-Digest http://www.cupw.ca/en/cupw-edigest .
