The CUPW National Convention is the supreme decision-making body of the union. The Convention happens every four years.
Delegates, alternates, observers and guests attend. Each local sends one delegate. Larger locals can send more. National and regional officers, and union representatives are delegates.
Convention delegates
- assess the union’s work during the last mandate and provide direction for the future
- debate and vote on resolutions
- elect the union’s national and regional officers, and union representatives
- can change the union’s constitution
