For months, CUPW has been advocating for vaccine priority for post and logistics workers to provincial governments and public health units. We continue this effort, by engaging relevant authorities every chance we get.

Our persistence has paid off and mobile vaccination clinics are finally making their way to some Canada Post facilities. A mobile vaccine clinic for all members of the Scarborough local, as well as members working at the South Central Letter Processing Plant, the Wickstead Station, and in Oshawa, will be held at the York Distribution Centre at 1860 Midland Avenue, and will run May 18-19 from 9 am to 1 pm, and 2 to 7 pm.

An on-site vaccination clinic is currently being set up at Gateway in Mississauga. Vaccination for Gateway workers will begin May 21 and run for a minimum of 20 days.

We encourage all eligible members who have not yet received their first dose of the vaccine to take advantage of the mobile and on-site clinics.

The last 14 months have been difficult, but we can’t let our guard down now. We must continue to do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. That means getting vaccinated, participating in rapid testing at work when offered, following public health guidelines and health and safety measures.

Stay safe.
