The National Executive Board, at its September 7 to 11, 2021 meeting, discussed the updated status of the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on meetings stipulated in the National Constitution.

NEB Resolution

The National Executive Board adopted the following resolution:

“It is MOVED, SECONDED and CARRIED that further to the May 2021 resolution, the NEB authorize all National meetings, normally held face-to-face under the National Constitution, continue to be held by virtual platforms until June 2022. The NEB will review the status of the COVID-19 pandemic at that time and any federal and provincial restrictions suggested or in place.”

Respective Officers for each constitutional meeting or conference will reach out to committee members and participants with information on how the meetings or conference will proceed.

Meetings Affected

The meetings to take place by virtual platforms are:

National Human Rights Committee

            December 3 to 5, 2021

            April 1 to 3, 2022

National Presidents Meeting

            January 14, 2022

National Executive Committee and Regional Executive Committees

            January 17 to 19, 2022

National Board of Trustees

            February 17 to March 3, 2022

National Health and Safety Committee

            March 19 and 20, 2022

National Work Measurement Committee

            March 26 and 27, 2022
