The following is a CUPW Pacifc Regional Educational bulletin that is offering this course to any of our members who are interested in wishing to learn about the Letter Carrier Route Measurement System course. The purpose of this very important informative course is to help benefit appointed Local CUPW Union Observer representative(s) so that when a Depot in our Local is involved with a major or minor restructure, you will have gained the knowledge of how most Walks/routes are created. The Local Union Observer’s responsibilities is to apply this LCRMS knowledge, the Collective Agreement language, apply some math skills, take good notes written and/or on provided Union laptop and be an effective communicator for your Local’s concerns regarding your Depot’s past and present issues with Canada Post.
As the Local’s appointed Union Observer, you will also be involved with understanding how the LCRMS information is applied internally and externally as it relates to all the routes within your Depot.
