Hello Sisters, Brothers and Cousins,
I hope you are all well!
Myself and the local executive are very much looking forward to the upcoming Shop Steward Workshop. It will be great to have us all together!
We will be holding two workshops over two days, Wednesday Sept 21 and Thursday Sept 22.
We will be splitting the workshop into two days to make things a bit gentler on staffing. Both workshops will be the exact same format and you will only attend one. They will be held in the early afternoon @ 12:30 pm via Zoom. We are aiming for a two hour session but could go longer depending on participation and questions and comments. I am not on a tight schedule those days so we can take our time.
Please let us know if one of these dates do not work for you and we will make sure to schedule in for a day that works best.
The local will book you off for a portion of your day so you can attend. If you could please let us know what your shifts are that would be very helpful with the book off. The majority of you will have your delivery covered but there are LCA’s and P04’s that will need to booked off a bit differently. Please let us know by responding to this email or calling/ texting the union cell.
One more thing, if any of you know of anyone you think would be interested in being a steward, let us know! We’d love to invite a few folks that may be interested or are on the fence. It may be all they need to make up their minds to jump on board.
